1 Day Vocal Recording Workshop – £300

In this one-day vocal recording workshop, limited to three participants, you will delve into the fascinating world of capturing the perfect vocal performance.

The workshop begins by exploring the psychology of recording the voice, understanding the mindset and emotions of vocalists during the recording process. You’ll learn effective techniques for interacting with vocalists, creating a comfortable and productive atmosphere. The vocal recording chain will be thoroughly explained, covering microphone selection, placement, and the role of preamps. Compression techniques will be explored to add polish and control to the vocal tracks. You will also learn the art of crafting personalised and balanced headphone mixes for vocalists. Finally, the workshop will delve into backing vocal techniques, including harmony creation and layering.
